Your Confidentiality Is Protected
The confidentiality of substance use disorder patient records is protected by federal law and regulations. Generally, we may not say to a person outside our organization that you attend our program, or disclose any information identifying you as an individual seeking help for substance use, unless:
- You consent in writing
- The disclosure is allowed by a court order
- The disclosure is made to medical personnel in a medical emergency
- The disclosure is made to qualified personnel for research, audit, or program evaluation
How We Protect Your Information
HIPAA Compliance
We fully comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, which sets strict standards for protecting sensitive patient health information.
42 CFR Part 2 Protection
Substance use disorder treatment records receive additional federal protection under 42 CFR Part 2, providing even stricter confidentiality standards.
Limited Access
Your information is only accessed by team members who need it to provide your care, and only to the extent necessary.
Written Consent Required
We will not release your information to anyone without your explicit written authorization, except as required by law.
Your Rights Under HIPAA

Exceptions to Confidentiality
